practice profileGilroy McMahon is one of Ireland's leading architectural practices. We have been responsible for the design and execution of some of the country's most interesting and successful building projects. A varied portfolio has given us an opportunity to develop design solutions in keeping with contemporary and future client needs. Our current and recently completed projects demonstrate the diversity of work undertaken by the practice. Gilroy McMahon were appointed architects for the new 80,000 capacity stadium for the Gaelic Athletic Association at Croke Park, a project that demanded extensive research for a completely new building type. Gilroy McMahon's practice has been built on skill, hard work, continuing education and rejuvenation, track record and success at competition. We have won numerous awards of merit with some at European level. In 1993 President Mary Robinson presented us with the RIAI Triennial Gold Medal for Excellence. In 2003 we were presented with the RIAI Silver Medal for Architectural Conservation for projects of exceptional merit, for our work on the newly refurbished National Museum at Collins Barracks. |
